Catherine started her career as a dancer with The Young Generation, also appearing in films, TV comedies, light entertainment shows and over 100 TV commercials.
Choreographing fashion shows encouraged Catherine to become more involved in fashion; this resulted in her becoming personal shopping manager at Dickins and Jones in Regent Street, London where she dressed many well-known celebrities and public figures. ”It was the best job in the West End” say's Catherine, especially when it required her appearing on TV programmes such as Kilroy where she was asked to transform people, who were unhappy about how they looked and felt about themselves, giving them a complete new look. ”It was a very rewarding experience”. Catherine was also involved in regular articles and editorials for press radio, and TV.
Fashion retail was then in the blood so after moving to Tunbridge Wells Catherine took up the position of store manager of Hoopers for Men and was there for 3 ½ years.
